thatIthoughtIshouldprobablycallitquits.ScottaskedmeifIwantedtogetaridetothecheckpointandtrytowarmupandIwasgame.Weloadedandbungee-cordedmybikeonthetubhewaspullingbehindhissledandIwasextremelyrelievedtobeonmywaytothecheckpointtowarmup.OnceatthecheckpointIgotoffthesledandwentstraightintotheicefishingtenttheyhadsetup.ScottwaskindenoughtobringmemorewarmdirtywaterandIgladlygulpeditdown.Therewasonevolunteeratthecheckpointandhewaslookingprettycold.AsIstoodtherethethreeridersthatwere-passedonthesnowmobilepulledupresuppliedandtookoff.Ialsolearnedthattherewasoneotherguystillouttherequiteawaysbackoncourse.Isilentlyhopedthathehadlithiumbatteriesinhislights.AtthecheckpointIwasonlygettingcolderandthebacksofmylegswerestillcompletelynumb.IgotbackontothesledbehindScottandwetookofftowardthelodgeheaddownfaceplantedintothebackofhisjackettokeepthewindout.Afterafewmileswepulledupalongsidesomeothersnowmobilersandtheyinformedusthattherewasaguyupaheadthatwaswalkinghisbikeandtheythoughthewasdone.Sowerodeonwardandsureenoughcameupontheguywalkinghisbike.Thisguylookedprettyshelled.Itwascompletelyflatandhewaswalkinghisbike.Hehadthisdazedandconfusedkindoflookonhisface.Scottaskedhowhewasdoingandafterashortconversationtheguydecidedtojustkeepwalking.OrmaybeherealizedtherewasreallynothingwecoulddoforhimatthispointasIwasnotabouttogiveupmyspotonthebackofthesled
